Every year Alena devises a new play with a group of young people at Divadlo Paměti národa. Inspired by stories and recorded memories of people who witnessed different turbulent events of 20th century, young people devise a theatre piece. The group choose a story that resonates today and start a creative dialogue with it. The pieces experiment with form and often include paper objects, dance or site-specific installation. This year’s piece is inspired by the story of Czech painter Helga Hošková-Weissová. The show HELGA will be first performed in Prague 6 Petřiny Library on 24th May 2025.
